Post subject:  2019 Releases

I saw Kern’s quote on LinkedIn this morning and was wondering the thoughts of the forum will be on what could be released. Any guesses?

“Wishing you a happy new year with one of our 2018 highlights - the amazing new Premier with its classic Breitling Panda look-. Wishing you health, luck and love in 2019 and of course a couple of new Breitling’s. As much as 2018 was for us the year of “back to the roots”, 2019 will be “back to the future” with bold and big sports/pilots/military watches. Plus a couple of very special “collectors” watches. I am sure you will all enjoy the „big“ 2019 BREITLING year. @breitling”

Hmmm...

Well, I’d guess a more fully developed rollout of the Chronomat might be a possibility.

I’ve got to think that a re-emergence of the 765 AVI is also a good bet.

And, in a bit of wishful thinking -- I think it's time for some B04 GMTs to make an appearance...

Yep, I hope so!

A modern 765 AVI could be superb.....but I'm hoping it stays as a no-date. It's just such a clean looking watch as it is, the last thing it needs is a 4:30 date.

If we see anything from the Schneider era (as Fred has intimated that we will at some point), I'd love to see an updated take on the Crosswind.

The "special collectors" watches could be interesting too!

I'd love to see one of the old triple date Datoras

Absolutely.

I'm just excited to see what is in store in general. I think there is a lot of unused heritage that can brought back to life. I didn't really like the Navi 8 stuff but I think the premier line is a home run. So now that they have had more time to explore and play around with different elements from the past I'm just excited to see what's to come.

My favorite Breitling was the big date blackbird so I would love to see a reintroduction of the brushed faceted bracelet and a big date rather than a 430 date.

Definitely the big date Blackbird, brushed on the faceted bracelet.

I've been figuring a redesign of the Aerospace is imminent. This announcement doesn't dissuade me from that thought.

We'll see. IMHO it could happen that Aerospace will go the way of the Dodo bird.

Also, Colt line will be gone as I heard.

That's a possibility, given that it is hardly cutting-edge technology anymore, and has been superseded by several other ana/digi models. That said, I think the Aerospace still fills a niche not quite covered by Breitling's other watches, so I'm hoping they find a way to keep it current, rather than just doing away with it entirely.

And what about the Avenger range? It's the same models since GK came to Breitling...

I am looking forward to the new releases, but I was hoping they would stick with the going back to roots ethos, futuristic watches is not what the brand needs right now. Then again they might come out with instant classics! I will have the Panda to fall back on if nothing else.

I am very much looking forward to the releases this year. In fact, the recent ones and the promise of more have brought me back to the forum. Will they all be at Basel or will they roll out throughout the year?
