Hi new to forum/first breitling.
I just bought a super ocean from watch master and while I don’t doubt it’s genuine I was wondering about the hands on it that are not filled/hollow. I can’t see any other of its type online. Is it rare/custom etc ?
Thanks for any replies

Looks like it is missing lume in the outside segments of the hands, not normal.

Ditto...had the same watch and several other SO's of that vintage. The lume has definitely fallen out of the hands.

Great thanks for replying. I’ve not got it yet and asked the supplier about it

The lume has fallen out. That isn't the real problem, the real issue is where did the lume go? It has possibly found it's way into the movement. I would insist on a movement service.

Missing lume can mean water damage, so tread carefully

It also confirms that Breitling have not serviced this for a very long time as the hands get replaced at every service.
