I know that there are folks out there who have been interested in a B01 Avenger -- but, honestly, with the exception of the bezel and some minor aesthetic differences, I don't see how this model is a whole lot different than the black-dial version of the Chronomat Airborne (which had a more impressive WR of 500m). Not sure what is really added to the mix by a B01 Avenger, per se. It seems that the key to the Avenger line really is to provide a different price point afforded by the Breitling cal. 13 movement. So, this is interesting, but I would be surprised if it portends any kind of future trend.

I'm surprised it took this long to get a response. A few years ago, there would have been pages on this since I thought everyone had always hoped for an in house Super Avenger. I can see the similarities to the Airborne and I'd still prefer that model for the money given the pilot bracelet over the professional.

Agree with the above. It's not a wise move IMO. If they wanna input an in-house movement into the Avenger series, they should at least design a 6-9-12 Sub-dials layout one IMO so that all models have their own distinctive feature and characteristics. Now they have too many models with the B01 IMO which kind of "cheapens" the movement because too many models with the same thing. It's like having different models for the sake of it.

I think this brings up the whole consolidation of the current product offerings that has been mentioned on here before. I have no problem with them bringing the B01 into other lines, but I'll wait and see what the long term plan is before getting too concerned about them cheapening the movement.

Yet another repurposing of the 'standard' B01 configuration that was launched more than 8 years ago with the promise of it being modular to allow for non-standard configurations and yet another DLC piece. It reads a lot like a stop gap piece to buy time until the new team can make an impact (potentially at Basel).

Although the instragram post would have you believe that it is DLC the Boutique Super Avenger is all stainless. It is not offered in DLC at this time.

Interesting. Curious why the instagram photo would be designed to make it look so much like DLC.

My thoughts exactly. The 6-9-12 configuration would be a great way to add the B-01 (or a variant thereof) to the Avengers while differentiating the line from the other models.
