After reading/visiting this site for the past month and a half, I purchased my first Breitling. It is a Super Avenger, Blue Dial, Batons. I am 90% sure that I am going to keep it. Going through a little buyers remorse. It is a lot of money to spend on a watch. Hopefully after I wear it, that remorse will wear off. One disadvantage of this watch however, is it makes my Tag seem like a big piece of shit! Once I take some pictures and figure out how to post them, I will do that. Thanks again to everyone who has helped me by answering my questions. |

KEEP IT, you will get used to wearing a nice watch. It is money well spent. You deserve it, What else can I say?? I used to feel a little guilty about having more than one nice watch. It was a struggle but I got over it. Work through the pain, wear the watch, live guilt free. Use the Tag for knock around I use an M1. Post some pictures! It will help with the healing.... |

It's a shame to feel any remorse as part of buying these things is the 100% enjoyment they can give you. However, if you feel even slightly guilty, just look at it this way - your SA could quite conceivably last you a lifetime if you look after it. Even if it lasts you 40 years, the orginal cost is peanuts when spread over that many years. I don't know what you paid for it, but if it was say $4000, over 40 years that's just $100 a year! Or $0.27 per day! Small price to pay IMO. Enjoy it. |

WOW, Driver8, I love your rationalization. Do you think it would work on my wife for my next purchase. ![]() ![]() Len |

I agree, don't feel any remorse but rather enjoy your new excellent watch! But, and that's only a but - if you decide you went the wrong way, there's probably plenty of people here that could help you take care of the SA. |

I think a lot of us have had buyers remorse...not because the watch isnt bad ass--,pre about the amount of $$.. Dont worry, once you realize that spending that amount of money hasnt caused any adverse reactions in your life, you get over it. |

The money thing used to really bother me - probably because there wasn't a lot of money in my upbringing, but the way I look at it is very simple: 1) I worked for the money I have 2) I never spend money that should be spent on mortgage / investments / bills / etc 3) It's foolish to try and put a proce on happiness - spending less on something that doesn't make you happy is naive 4) The enjoyment will last long after the cost is forgotten 5) There's no point in being the richest guy in the graveyard |

Unless you're a billionaire, there's always a little "buyer's remorse." Don't worry, you'll get over it. As long as you're not using rent money or food money or money for medical bills, relax, enjoy that gorgeous watch. That's why you bought it, right!? ![]() Steve |
