Recently while on vacation I had the opportunity to stop in at an AD to check out some of the new watches. While looking at one I noticed a new deployant being utilized. With all the uncertainty of the new font on Breitling straps I thought I would post a picture! I really like it because now it is similar to the design utilized on Breitling bracelets!

The look is nice but I always have problems with this clasp. I wonder when Breitling will invent a double-pusher clasp that many of the competing brands has been using for ages now. While the Breitling double-pusher quick-micro-adjust clasp for the rubber strap is a treat. I've adapted it to the steel straps (Pilot, Professional II., Ocean Classic) too.

Like anything else this clasp may not be for everyone. One of the main reasons I like it is that it ties these buckles in with those of the bracelets. While I am a huge fan of Breitling's deployment, I do not care for most tang buckles. Because of my lack of interest in the tang buckle I forgot to inquire if they were changing the design of that buckle too!

I'm with you on this. I like the way that a clasp helps the strap to hold up over time. Add to that the fact that, for me, I just find a clasp more comfortable and easy to use. The Breitling OEM clasps are fantastic, but I also use generic butterfly deployants to replace the tang/buckle on Breitling's military straps.
