Post subject:  Navitimer - Strangeness with hour chrono

Hi,

I just purchased an Old Navitimer II, and the chrono seems to be behaving a little strangely.

If I start and stop (but then not reset) the chrono (for any amount of time), it all acts normally, but the hour chrono will continue to advance round for exactly one more hour. (It takes an hour to advance, its not jumping or racing ahead). It seems to stop after that. Every time I start and stop the chrono, the minute and second hand behave as expected, but the hour chrono will seem to run for another hour. i.e. doing it 3 times will see the hour chrono advance for 3 more hours. I take it this is not expected behaviour?
If I reset (Pressing the bottom button), everything jumps back to 0 as you would expect, and nothing advances by itself from there.

I can live with it, and one day when I get it serviced, I can have that aspect looked at, but just wondering if anyone has ever seen such behaviour before?

Thanks

It sounds as though the chrono engage / disengage is not functioning correctly. I would get it serviced now, it could be rubbing and causing more damage.
