A couple of weeks ago, I was able to visit the Breitling Boutique in NYC for the first time. Had a great time hanging out and looking at tons of Breitlings.

One of the highlights was the series of vintage Breitlings that constitute the "Museum" on the second floor -- individual watches that are housed in their own compartments for viewing. My one regret was that I didn't take out my iPhone and at least try to capture some photos.

Happily, however, I just stumbled upon an article that provides some very nice photos of this collection. Thought I'd share the link here: http://www.******.com/blog/tour-breitling-museum-new-york-city-boutique

none of the usual abhorrations , they seem to have their restoration in order (no surprise since the Heists are 'local')

but this ?

The Co-Pilot is one of the most iconic vintage Breitling designs, and for good reason. It has the looks that defined mid-century pilot watches – black dial, prominent luminous markings, and a bold bezel – with a few twists. For example, the minutes totalizer at 3 o'clock counts up to 15 minutes with luminous markers at each 3-minute interval. This example from 1958 is the same Co-Pilot that actress Raquel Welch famously wore in Fathom.

The boutique is a great place to visit. My wife and I stopped there last year and met Koz on here who works there and got the tour.

The "Museum on the second floor" seems to be a feature of some of the main boutiques around the world I guess.
The Hong Kong boutique has the "second floor museum" as well, although some questions have been asked by well respected vintage authorities here about the originality of some of the pieces.
Oh well, it is Hong Kong after all, once a Mecca of Oriental made "Swiss watches", at least up until some years ago when the production facilities moved a bit further up north.
Anyway, here is the link to my post where at least my pieces are relatively genuine, I hope ;-)
