I consider it to mean a party who is disinterested. In other words, someone who has no reason to offer an opinion. They are not being paid, don't know the people involved, no allegiance to the issues. Hope this helps. To each his own I guess.

That's why we have (validated) AD members, highly educated enthusiasts, etc. I struggle to understand how someone who claims to be an ex employee but refuses to offer anything to support that claim, who is only prepared to offer opinions through a third party, and whose 'opening statement' consists of comments around transparency, freedom of speech and getting away with things without penalty is interested in providing helpful insight. Any journalist approached by someone like that would instantly suspect that there is an agenda that someone wants to get out and is seeking to use the journalist to do so. That doesn't invalidate the comments, but it does require an investigation of motives. If you don't see that then I would suggest that you are naïve - a term which is a descriptor, not an insult.
