I've had my Superocean for 2.5 years now from new. It has been worn just about every day but I don't do anything especially active with it on. I have noticed that the bezel sometimes slips in a clockwork direction (and no I don't regularly rotate it at all) and recently the clasp on the bracelet has come loose - it is only the lock that keeps it shut.
I'm a little surprised by both issues given the reputation and cost associated with Breitling - should I be?

Neither of those are commonly reported problems, so yes, you should be surprised. The clasp is stamped steel so can easily be 'bent' back to shape, but I recognise that's not the point. The bezel should be checked as that will need Breitling attention to address. Unfortunately you are out of warranty now, but might be worth talking to the AD anyway.

Heard from my AD, both problems have been sorted for £20 all in. Seems fair and I will pick it up tomorrow

It's slightly a shame that the AD charged you as I thought Breitlings had much longer warranties these days, and that would certainly cover a bezel that's able to be turned the "wrong" way.

The clasp is a wear part - it closes with friction, and eventually the metal molecules wear away. The usual fix is to pinch the affected part of the clasp very, very gently at the point where it clicks into place.

I have one Breitling that's nearly 20 years old and its clasp was also a bit loose - the fliplock, too. A gentle nudge with some rubber-nosed pliers and it's back to being tight and rattle-free.
