| Post subject: | SOH 50th Anniversary models? |
I've just copied this out into a separate thread as it was sitting in the middle of Roffs "Limited Edition" number thread, and it's possibly really interesting.... well to me anyway IF IT'S TRUE! Someone on here mentioned that there are two limited edition models, each with a run of 50 pieces - SOH38 50th Anniversary (white dial / green bezel) SOH46 50th Anniversary (white dial / green bezel) Is this real or a wind up? The 46mm model sounds brilliant but I've run a few searches on the net and come up with precisely ZERO leads on it.
Can anyone shed any light on it please? |

And just to add to this, partly from my sources, largely from a PM exchange with JohnnyBoomBoomBuck... LE of 50 sold exclusively in Thailand and never readily available to Joe Public - sold to contacts by ADs. They aren't officially a set, but are being sold as a a set of a 38 and a 46. Not yet commonly available on the resale market - you'll need contacts, expect to pay a premium when they do start coming up. |

GREEN? What a shame - the SOH 46 is on my shortlist and an LE would be great but I mean........GREEN? Oh no - that would take a lot of convincing! Admin - can we please have a thumbs down emoticon so we can use it on things like this and the hideous diamond encrusted things which appear - please, please, please. |

And yes I really like it! Guess with only 50 pieces it'll be rarer than hen's teeth to get hold of too...... |

My sources actually stated it was Taiwan, not Thailand. 50th anniv. of independence from mainland China, apparently. Here is a borrowed pic of a SOH LE Green 38, taken via a camera phone. I have forgotten whom to give credit to, so please forgive me for that.
As you can sort of see, the bezel is, in fact, green. The dial is a cream. I hope this helps! (sorry to be so short, but I have 100 brand new students to look after...) -jbbb |

Er...I believe it was Malaysia. The country celebrated it's 50th year of Independence from the British last year 2007. |

Alright, then, Malaysia it is. My world history is not exactly up to PHd. standards. In any event, there it is. |

I typed Asia at first, then changed - I'm stoopid - a) for changing and b) for not using the info I got from jbbb |

This seems to be a fairly safe color combination for a limited edition? What other color options did you have in mind Breitling Bloke? What about a black dial with silver tabs outlining the green tabs to tie in with the green bezel. What is it exactly that you don't like? Just curious of your opinion Bloke.

Indeed they do. I really wish I had more money so I could make Breitling produce some LE's for me... |

Yes indeed. I know there was talk on here before of getting a special "BreitlingSource" LE made with some kind of logo on the dial, but instead of that I reckon it'd be superb to get something like this LE made. i.e. with no "BreitlingSource" logo on the dial, just a unique "look" in some way. For example, something like a SOHC with a black dial and a red bezel or something, with a run of say 50 pieces..... I'd be first in the line for something like that. |
