I see some yellow mixed with black in the one the woman is wearing. And the scene with the guy on the rock wall, the dial looks huge.

Obviously not just for pilots anymore. They will get alot of pick ups from the adventure sports crowd.

I was thinking I could use one for back country snowboarding, where avalanches and cliffs are a danger, only problem is if I'm surrounded by mountains how would that effect the range? Would it even be useful in that kind of situation?

I have one, but I like the idea of my wristwatch capable of helping me out in the aforementioned circumstances.

I have a feeling that this watch is going to be WAY too big for my wrist and WAY more than I will actually ever need (not to mention the cost), BUT I'm still excited to see what it will turn out looking and functioning like. That second trailer was pretty good too. 4/24 seems like a long way away...

In the new video you can see the watch, and there seems to be no large antenna on the side... do you really think they are wearing the "actual" E2 in the video or just some random Breitling to make s go crazy and think to hard about this one?

Fair enough, but I'd carry the PLB in those circumstances, as you mentioned a realistic safety concern that it addresses the best.

Understandable. Thanks for the info. I am trying to find a reason to buy the new emergency I guess the only reason I need is I want one! Especially if they are making it in a bigger case, everything I've heard about this thing so far sounds pretty sweet!

What will this do the value of used 1st generation models...? I've been on the lookout for a short while and wonder if I should wait a little longer!

I panicked for a 2nd watching the 2nd video when I saw the rubber. Then realised the woman was just wearing a yellow SO2.

From the distant glimpses the E2 looks like a great evolution of the E1. Similar bezel, dial and overall design. It looks big in the trailer though, am hoping it is available in 44mm or smaller.

Best screenshots I could get:

Nice screen grab!

I would have a leather cover/cheap strap on that baby if I was rockclimbing like in the video. It would be trashed in a day.

If the guys hands are about average size, I don't think the new E2 is going to be any larger diameter than before.

Great screen grab DrJ! You beat me to SO2 comment as well. Yep i reckon 49mm. Looks like an evolution from the older Emergency, which is good. No radical re-design.
