With the E2 coming on the market, its obvious the size and price are big issues. I am wondering if the E1 versions hold value or even rise in value.
What is the opinion of you long time Breitling owners?

Unlikely IMO. Very VERY few watches actually hold their value and even fewer appreciate over time. Those that do are usually extremely limited edition watches by the real "top end" manufacturers. Most other watches will all depreciate to a certain point and then they will generally hold at a certain value. I can't imagine the E1 will be any different.

Especially given that it is quartz and therefore has built in obsolescence. Doubly so given that the transmitter will also become obsolete.

The E2 is huge and I like big watches, the E1 is still a fine watch infact I would go as fare to say it's a collectable must have. Since they stopped making the E1 the price can ever so slowly increase over a long time but condition has to be mint.
