Good poll for the watch of your choice, im suprised not to see the Super Avenger mentioned at all....i find this piece really top of the tree where watches to be worn are concerned......everyday watches, need to be hardwearing, easy for the basic non technicle owner to comprehend .....i may be just a SA owner who will not even consider any other as i waited a long time to own mine.
It has been everything i wanted, top looks, choice of colours, the bracelet is standard but of great quality.
Its waterproof to a good standard(does the number one choice have good waterproofing?) and even after wearing it daily for almost 3 years it has never missed a beat, it still gets lots of attention wherever i go..... not the top of the tree re being a super price model but it fulfils all my expectations .....i did think it would have recieved some comment

I have plenty of comments about the SA but since none of them are positive ill keep them to myself.

Navitimer 01 is a great watch that reflects what Breitling has been famous for-Aviation. However it shouldn't be the best Breitling watch as it doesn't project the true spirit of Breitling IMHO. As shown in their logo, wings for aviation and anchor below shows their continuing interest to produce quality diving watches. Therefore the best Breitling watch should have both elements that reflects their intention. Flagship B01 is the best ever in my eyes!

We know!

However, the community knocked it out in the first round.

Wow. I don't think my favorite made round 1 :( I own 2 but finding a model I like from Breitling gets harder every year.

I own a navitimer 01 LE, but prefer my SOSF and think it should have won.

Don't worry, I'm sure you are not alone.

While I have a B01 LE as well, and don't equate it along with the standard B01 which went out in the first round, I much prefer it to the A13352 which I have owned. That being said, I don't prefer the Crosswind special LE to the Blackbird A44359 either.

IMO the A44359 is superior to the Crosswind special LE, as well as the A13352, and very close to par with the B01 LE, depending on personal preference on the B01's font and it's sapphire caseback vs the Blackbird's faceted bracelet.

The A44359 is the only Breitling I never owned and wished I did.

Having the compass bezel as well as the chronomat case, I feel it offers a feature to both the aviation watch and diving watch aspects of Breitling heritage, as well as offering up a big date complication in a far more aesthetically pleasing package than the majority of Breitling's models. Clearly I prefer a 3,6,9 sub-dial layout :)

This is still my all-time favorite Breitling.

No Emergency in the final?
I may be wrong but I thought Breitling was basically kaput until the Emergency gained status?

Not remotely true.

This (the 2012 competition) and the 2013,version were free nominations and votes and as you see the Emergency never came close to winning.

I see but wonder how many vote for busy dials and such?

I need as do many in the senior ranks, easy to read watches.

For me a Headwind would be perfect, or the new Super Ocean. I would love to get one in 44 Plus size

Good acticle and valid as it is based on votes from owners
