Post subject:  This Windrider sought after?

A friend of mine found this at his in-laws. Hasn't been worn in years due to the strap going, so they gave it to him. He's thinking about flipping it for around a grand or if it's kind of collectable holding on to it. Year is approx 93-94

It's a nice enough early Chronomat (Vitesse??). The green dial wasn't common, but not rare enough to meaningfully effect price. The value isn't that high, especially without a bracelet, but it is a nice looking watch with a somewhat uncommon dial. Assuming it is running well with no signs of water damage to the movement, $1000-1500. Probably closer to the low end. When I see a watch like that my thought always is - don't sell it - put a little work into it and enjoy it. It just doesn't seem $1000 justifies what can be a nice piece of recent Breitling history to own.

Besides, I think that watch could get you a free pass at The Masters :lol:

No, don't flip it! He should send it off for a servicing and restoration and then wear it.
