Hi all,

After much research and skulking about this and other forums reading reviews and trying a good few watches on within my birthday budget. I decided on a Breitling as my first expensive watch. I pick up my new Breitling [ Steelfish ] in a week or so [ I needed a nice distraction to take my mind off turning 30 haha ]

I have read that golfing whilst wearing your watch is not a good idea. Is this the same for mountain biking and other sports?I was hoping to wear it whatever I was doing really without much hassle as it appears to be a sturdy enough watch. I figured it was able to take a bit of abuse on the odd occasion but still dont want to wreck it :D

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers in advance :lingsrock:

The issue with golf is the high and sudden g forces. Mountain biking (I imagine) is more of a constant vibration at much lower g forces so shouldn't be an issue.

Coming off and going watch face into a rock face may be more of an issue, so don't do it

Congrats on the watch and the birthday and welcome to BreitlingSource.

Thanks and thanks for the advice, I figured as much but having never owned a mechanical watch before I was a little unsure.

I try to avoid that falling off thing at all costs

Cant wait to actually get it now!! on a side note I noticed on here too AD discount amounts. Not sure what its like where you are but I managed to get a reasonable 17.5% ish off mine. Is that a good amount?

For a first timer....yeah. You'll learn more and more about watches as you go.

Awww man! Should have tried harder haha
Although definately think the fish was worth it, was either that or a planet ocean ( which was the one I really fancied originally) when I tried it on it did nothing for me
