The warranty on my Steelfish expires on the 7th July . Since new it has always gained 10 secs per day . I learned from this forum that a new watch can take time to run in but with two weeks left on my warranty I don't see it getting any better . It doesn't bother me that it is always a minute or two out . Nothing I do requires me to know accurate time to the second . Near enough is good enough . I also don't wish to be without it for a week or two , but I want to do what is best for the watch .

What would you do ?

send it back to get fixed buddy. there is no reason that a new watch should be running out of COSC specs. its like buying a new car and having it not operate the way its suppose to.

I know what you mean. It sucks to be without your watch BUT if you have warranty service available, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!! Kind of like taking your car in for a checkup right before the warranty runs out. (You've already paid for it.)

I did the same thing. Had a warranty expiring within a couple of days so I sent it in for a regulation. It was pretty fast too. Took 2 weeks from the day I dropped it at the AD to the day it returned.

If it's consistent time gain then it will likely be a simple regulation - may even be able to get it done while you wait if the AD has a watchmaker.

:yeahthat Try pick a AD that has a watchmaker. That way it can be done in house without been sent away. Its best to leave it for a few days as it can be tested before and after to be sure its set correctlly.

:yeahthat

I wouldn't miss the opportunity. Just in case it needs more than a simple regulation. You might regret it.
