Post subject: | SO Steelfish vs. Avenger Seawolf |
So I took a new job and I don't think wearing the Navi World is appropriate for the types of places I'll be in day-in and day-out. I have a SuperOcean II with the blue inlay and black face, which I can wear for work, but want to get another watch for more daily use.... Been looking at a bunch and think it's between the Steelfish and the Seawolf. I would get either with a "white" face and intend on getting both a black and brown rubber strap for it.....any thoughts? Need help deciding. |

cant go wrong either way, but keep in mind that the SW is very thick, which could mean trouble fitting it under longs sleeves. |

I have both, black dial steelfish and a grey dial stainless steel seawolf both on pro 2 bracelet. Love them both, but my slight favourite is the steelfish only because it fits better under a shirt cuff in the day. Both are very sporty for casual wear. Can post pics if you wish. Good luck in your search. Colin |

Good luck in your search. Colin would love a couple pics. That would be helpful....agree with both previous posts that the seawolf is thick. And not that it's a deal breaker, but it's definitely more expensive. Thanks for the pics. That would be great. |

From a recent thread devoted to the Steelfish, my black dial on DPII and white dial on gold croco. The Seawolf is very nice as well, but it wears beastly thick even compared to the Steelfish. ![]() ![]() |

Thoughts on that one?...what price range is that one in? |

You mean the Avenger - the Chrono? I think it's discontinued but can still be found. Apples and oranges with the Steelfish. The Seawolf Avenger is the one to compare - no -chrono diver to non-chrono diver. Good luck. |

The Avenger is the same size as the Seawolf...but has a polished case...so IMO it seems slightly larger. I think the list price on the Avenger is $4,915.00 on bracelet, but I am sure that is getting ready to go up with another increase coming. |

Let's add a blue Steelfish to the mix (on Pro II) It has an amazing lume and lights up at the slightest hint of darkness. The Avenger Seawolf I have is the Titanium one which has a very readable dial and although quite deep due to it being 3000m WR it is still light. The Steelfish is quite a heavy watch. I like them both but if I had to chose one it would be the Seawolf as the Steelfish is a bit heavy and I notice it when I am wearing it (which could be a good thing to some people). |

Feeling it on my wrist is a good thing for me, but the Seawolf is considerably heavier than the Steelfish I think....at any rate, I think I have decided to go with the Steelfish w/ the silver dial. I like both, the Steelfish is less expensive and it's being discontinued now which kind of makes me want it more.....will get a brown rubber and black rubber ocean racer for it. |
