Been a Rolex person for quite sometime but decided to get something different. Bought my first first Breitling a SS B01. Have to say, Breitlings are great looking watches.

Now I would like to get a leather strap for the watch with the deployant buckle. Anyone know of a good place to get straps. Would prefer Breitling straps but I know they are pretty pricey. Any recommendations on good quality straps that are less money?

My first post and my first watch.

Firstly congrats on a great watch and welcome to the forum.

To be entirely honest, your best bet would be to bite the bullet and get a Breitling deployant and strap. The Breitling deployant is a thing of beauty and their leathers are top notch. I'm sure others will chime in with the non-OEM advice, but I just don't see the value in going non-Breitling. This is just my humble opinion however.

:yeahthat

You get what you pay for and Breitling make amazing straps. I only go aftermarket for something truly unique through people like ABP, and that won't be cheaper.

There is nothing like matching a B01 to a Breilting Manufactured strap IMO. JUST GET IT, you won't be disappointed! :D

WELCOME BTW!

Sounds like the consensus is to go with the original Breitling strap. The next question is any recommendation on where to buy it?

Welcome :lingsrock:

I will sound like a broken record but, yes, bite the bullet and get an original strap. PM me and I can refer my AD to get you a discount.
I had a B01 (recently traded to Mafia Serge) but it was on a bracelet. Nice looking watch and a heavy piece.

Enjoy!

It's not worth buying straps anywhere but an AD - grey market prices aren't good and eBay has lots of fakes.

Just break that baby in before you put it on the watch, I'm learning the hard way with it on my wrist. And yes it's beautiful and well done to perfection

Breitling straps are top notch. Ive owned and handled watches that cost much more money that a B, but have yet to find any that have a better OEM strap. Some are as good, but none better.

Maybe try a WTB ad in the sales forum if you want one on the cheap. You might be able to find one for a few bucks less.

I put my B01 on leather also. I think it looks great. Here it is on a Breitling strap and tang buckle, but I also have the same strap with a Breitling deployant. I would recommend the deployant. It keeps the heavy watch more steady on the wrist.

I would ONLY go with OEM provided straps and IMO a croc on deployant is the better looking, it makes the watch stand out.

I just picked up a Breitling calfskin strap/2200M ($140.00) and Breitling SS deploynant clasp ($260.00) from an AD to interchange with my Chronomat B01 SS pilot bracelet. I tend to agree a Breitling strap/clasp is the only way to go. Honestly both the strap and the bracelet looks great. I seen most pictures on the web that the clasp logo seemed to be engraved rather than a raised logo like mine. I'm still a newby and don't know if that is important to tell the difference between the real and fake.
