Hi guys

Hoping I can draw on your collective wisdom.
Does anyone know much about the above watch, or better still own one?
Contemplating a purchase as I have seen one at what I consider to be a good price, there is plenty of conflicting information about them on the web though, such as size for starters, I'm getting varying diameters depending where I look, ranging from 43 to 46mm.
I also understand it was an LE, is the number on the case anywhere ?
How easy is it to adjust to reading a 24hr dial?
Sorry for all the questions folks, any info on this watch would be greatly appreciated.

Jim

The Chrono-matic 24 LE came in several different versions as can be seen in this excerpt I have copied from the LE thread.

Chrono-Matic 24 (Black) - 1,000
Chrono-Matic 24 (Blue) - 250
Chrono-Matic 24H - gold, black dial - 250
Chrono-Matic 24H - steel, black dial, gold dial markings (for Japan) – 25

AFAIK they are all 44mm in size. I have one and although I don't think I have ever measured it I don't see a reason to dispute the number that Administration has posted on the models page. I don't have it with me but I would be happy to measure it later today when I get home if no one else knows.

The LE number is stamped on mine as xxx/250. (Mine is blue.)

As far as adjusting to read a 24 hour dial, it does take some getting used to. In my opinion, unless it's a watch that you use on a fairly regular basis, it's going to be a bit difficult. I wear mine only occasionally and I constantly have to convert to a 12 hour format in my head. But that's just me. I'm a bit brain-dead at times.

The black ones come up a lot on eBay and other places. Aleister also has a blue one I believe.

Elwyn's information is correct.

Great, thanks guys. Is it a polished or brushed finish, again, I'm finding conflicting info.
Don't suppose anyone has any pics, especially wrist shots.

It's polished. Sorry but I don't personally have any wrist shots.
BTW if you are interested in a blue one I know where there are two of them (not mine) available. However IMO they are asking way to much for them.

Thanks again, it's a black one I'm after. The asking price is £2195 however I imagine I could snap it up for £2000. Would you say that was a fair price?

I would be reluctant to say anything about price since I haven't bought a black one before. Wouldn't want to give any poor advice. I find that looking on ebay at the completed sales section and checking Chrono24 for asking prices on similar pieces would probably be your best bet.

Ricardo on here has the gold version, and he's posted some wrist shots of that in the gallery.

Looks gorgeous Alan, I think that picture has just sold me. I don't suppose you have any more you could post?
Also, how does the watch wear? Would you say smaller or larger than the 44mm diameter.

I can do pics on demand if you like Jim (let me know what).

Stef visited the other weekend and almost left with that on his wrist and I almost 'forgot' to give him back his Vintage (kin Stunning piece) (sorry rude/late here).

Really good to have made the best of pals with my Watches.....
