I need to send a watch for service and I'm pretty sure their instructions said to wrap it in bubble wrap and put it in a padded envelope. I'm a little uncomfortable with the envelope and would much rather use a box.

An envelope??? No freaking way. But it in a big box with a ton of bubble wrap...also include a letter with your contact info and description of the problem. Send it with signature confirmation and fully insured. Service address can be found on the Breitling Website.

Call BUSA to give them a heads up and get a contact there that you can work with. Also, if its under warranty be sure to include the warranty card.

I agree. I shipped mine to BUSA a few months back and I shipped it with the leather case that came with mine and a TON bubbles, and wrap bubbles too. That way, if someone decides dropping it off a roof, so it'll be safe. And I used UPS with insurance too. I wouldnt barely use a bubble envelope with a 5 dollar plastic part. ;) Its pretty easy buying a box to ship it.

Oh, I plan on using a box. I just thought it was odd that they want you to put a watch worth several thousand dollars in a padded envelope.
