Who out there owns (or is very knowledgeable) about Navitimer Worlds and how Water Resistant they really are. Is washing hands okay, or even showering? How about a swim in the pool? etc... I know it says it is good for about 100ft (30m) but is that really true? I understand that if the button is pressed accidentally underwater you pretty much SOL (right?)! Thanks for the info! |

Water resistance is explained here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles ... ance.shtml Definitely not for swimming, and showering can also easily exceed 3ATM. Washing your hands is fine, but I wouldn't put it under a tap running full bore. |

Old proverb about watches and water: "When in doubt. keep it out!" Seals deteriorate over time. What was 3atm when it left the factory might be down to zero after a few years of wear. |

The chrono pushers are not designed to be activated under water. In any event, I believe that the weak area for the navi line is the press fit bezel/slide rule. |

I never wear my navitimer in pools, shower, etc. I'd rather ruining from water. Washing your hands is fine... But don't wash your hands into a huge bucket... Lol. |
