Post subject:  Hoping to be a Breitling owner by the end of the day.....

Hello people,
I feel like its Christmas as today I will be trying to purchase a Breitling watch, the question is which one and do I want to get new or pre owned....?????

Please correct me if I am wrong on any of these points and and other infomation you think I should consider.

I am quite a big bloke and need something over 40mm so I have fallen in love with Super Ocean Chrono and Avengers, I have found a good deal from my local Breitling dealer for a SO RRP £3110 by he will do it for £2750 but I think I could get him to £2550.... but I have found a pre owned 5 year old one for £1800 Pre owned would save on approx £1000 and I can send it to Breitling UK for a Overhaul which by the sounds of it the watch would come back like new. + they also have a 8 year old blackbird which looks rather sexy for £1800.

Any infomation would be good or you may know of a differnet watch that may suit or a reason why not top buy pre owned or the models I like..

SO EXCITED!!! Just want one

Look forward to any replys

Cheers

Mark

Not very up on UK prices, so I'll let others comment on that, but all other things being equal I would take the Blackbird. However, if you are still unsure over which model don't be too hasty to buy just to get to owning one - strap on a whole bunch and find out which one calls the most. This watch may well be with you for a very long time so better to make the right decision than a quick decision.

i was in a similar situation last week and looked online for 2nd hand watches, ended up getting a new steelfish with a blue face for a good price form andrew michaels and the ones online 2nd hand where not that much cheaper - like £100-200 less for a 5 year old watch which did not make any sense at all to me,
