If you had a 5k to spend on a Breitling would what you choose? I was thinking about getting an avenger or a super avenger, but I then had a thought of selling my Tag Heuer GC 17RS and getting something bigger and better (not literally bigger) like a Navitimer World. What do you guys think? What would you choose?

Chronomat. Most definitely.

fyi, a super avenger is bigger than the navi world by over 2 mm.

I know, I meant its one of the more expensive Breitlings when I said bigger and better, should have worded it a bit better.

I reckon in question like this, ask yourself which watch you really love and forget about the price (as long as you can afford it). If you love the avenger and can keep change in your pocket, that's awesome. But its still a lot of money to spend on a watch you're only so- so about.

If I was you I'd just go and try several models on and see which one (or ones!) speak to you the most.

I know that isn't answering your question, but if you ask 10 people what they would buy with the money, you'll probably get 10 different answers........ and every one of them may be different to what you actual like.

I always think that buying watches is a very personal thing, and ultimately someone elses opinion doesn't really matter.

Good luck with the hunt though!

An Avenger (or the yellow dial Seawolf) & pocket the change in anticipation of my daughter's first "Hi Dad. Just called to say I love you.........I'm a little short" call of the college year.

This is a hard question to answer...would really need to know what style (or line within Breitling) you prefer 1st. If you could narrow that down then we could give some better suggestions. Also, would this be a watch you would wear daily? Does it need to have good water resistance? Do you have to wear a suit often, and if so would you wear this watch?

Sorry for all the questions, but they would all play a part in answering the question.

I personally like the Navi world black face ss bracelet or super avenger hurricane white ss bracelet. I just received a steelfish xl as a gift and have that for my daily. I know the Navi is dressier then the sa but the navi is a lot more money. I think i may go with the sa or a used navi world.

What's with all the capital letters?

For me, I'd probably pick up a B01, either the blackeye grey or the carbon dial

For me it would probably be a Code Yellow Avenger on the DPII with deployment, if I didn't have my Blackbird it would be a Blackbird.
For you, I have no idea.
