When I place an order I purchase a couple sets of extra tips and I'm good to go for ages.

Which spare tips will I need? And also do I need the spare springs as well? Are they universal, or will i need one that is breitling specific?

There is a 6767-F and a 6767-S. do you know what the difference is?

F is fine, S is standard. You want fine.

You need thicker springbars for strap than bracelet. I can't remember the sizes - I just get a bunch from my AD.

Using a bracelet springbar with a strap will result in a loose fitting and increases the chances of bending or the spring bar coming free.

As I said, you need thicker ones for straps.

Post subject:	Bracelet Changing
I received my Bergeon 6767F in the mail and I am attempting to change the band on my Chronomat. I am having trouble getting the bracelet off. Every time I pull one of the pins out of the hole and attempt to go to the next side the first side goes back into the hole on the lugs. Any suggestions, I am being very delicate as I do not want to harm anything Keith

There's a video that admin did here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/video_ar ... p%20Change I always use a finger to apply pressure underneath the side of the bracelet that you have just removed the spring bar from. Effectively you are actually pressing against the top of the bracelet (as you have the watch upside down, but if you keep consistent pressure then the spring bar shouldn't slip back into the hole when you remove the other side.

The tips wear if you use it much - I do. I order from mywatchmaker.net and for about $25 you get the tool, two extra forked tips, and 2 extra pin tips. I think it's 2d day shipping. I've been told you can get them cheaper from a store in the UK - who's name escapes me. Roff knows. When I place an order I purchase a couple sets of extra tips and I'm good to go for ages. The video is an excellant turotial and gave me the courage to change my own bracelet. To the OP - notice that the video shows quite a bit of downward and lateral force being applied. I push down on the center of the end link with my thumb at the same time I apply mostly lateral force with the tool. You have to get the side you are working on to make some meaningful movement before you go after the other side.

He will be able to tell you exactly what you need if you tell him the watch, lug width, and wether you need it for a strap or the bracelet. And if he can't help you he will tell you who can. As I said, I'm not sure on the size off the top of my head. If no one else answers I'll try to remember to measure one on the weekend. You don't need a relationship with an AD to get them - my relationship means that they just give them to me, but I'm sure that any AD would sell you some for a few bucks.
