Its quite strange, becouse thats not mentioned, even in Breitling“s website..

Is there any reason for the white gold logo, or just "expensive taste" ? :D

No idea why they do it, just a 'quality' feature I guess. It's not a huge amount of gold so it's more image than anything else.

So, what are the hands and chrono hands made of on SS models? I know that they are single use, so I can't imagine them being white gold but I haven't been able to figure out what they are. Are they SS also? How about the thing, sorry I don't know the word for it, that is around the date window on some models?

All SS as far as I know, definitely not gold. You wouldn't want gold hands because they would be heavy and put more strain on the movement as well as requiring more energy to move them, reducing the power reserve.

Wow, quick answer. That makes sense, I guess I didn't think that the weight difference on something that small would be such an issue or that there was that big a difference between SS and Gold. I guess considering the size of the movement anything to save weight is a good thing. Thanks.

i think all hands on the ss models are made of a sheet of silver, not sure of this, at least the breitling clock on the bentleys have silver hands and white gold logo

Big difference. Density of SS is like 8 grams/cc and density of gold is 19 grams/cc. Density of silver is like 10-11 grams /cc.

Ha! Sometimes You don't realize how nerdy something sounds until you read it back. Hilarious but I'm unashamed!

I wouldn't utter a word of this to any woman, ever ;-)
