So what would you wear for a casual every day watch. I have a Colt Auto II with a polished Professional II bracelet but I feel it might get looking old quick with the polished finish. I have a Tag Heuer that I have worn daily for 15 years. I want a watch that will age gracefully like the Tag, if that is possible. Other than some scratches on the bracelet and bezel my Tag still looks good. I guess becasue it has a brushed finish scratches are not easily seen. I would want about a 40-43mm face, brushed Stainless Steel bracket, stick numbers, simple face. What Breitling might meet my needs, could be a current or past model. Thanks JWL |

...or.... for a much less expensive everyday watch that you can wear anywhere, I suggest trying the Steelfish on. A black dialed version is my everyday watch and I love it. Of course I dont need a chrono on a regular basis (or rarely) so the lack of that complication doesnt bother me. But it does have a date and that is much more usefull. At a price point around $2000 USD, I thing its Breitlings best buy, but Im biased with two of them and the thoughts of getting a blue one too!!! |

To me the BB is a bit too steep as an everyday "knock around" watch.

Yeah but would you wear those watches while swimming, fishing, hunting, wood turning, working on the vehicle, building a shed, yard work and any other thing you can think of? ....I do, with my Steelfish. |

Black steel sounds a bit too risky to me with its unrepairable finish. Agree a BB is a bit special for a daily wearer, but I guess its all relative to how much money you have. I still want 'another' Aerospace to wear most days. The brushed Ti finish is very easy to refinish plus its not too big and clunky. I think its just better to wear a watch you really like rather than compromise on finish etc |

Well, you do have a point there. I will take my BB off while working on cars, ect. But it is never far away |

+1 to the Chrono Avenger. It is my knockaround watch. But I wear the rest of mine in daily rotation. |
