When I purchased my Old Navitimer back in 1999, it came with a leather band. The band was 22mm/18mm. My original tang Buckle is engraved with the Breitling "B".

When I needed a new band, I was unable to locate a genuine Breitling 22/18 band, but did purchase a genuine 22/20 band. The dealer did not have a 20mm Breitling buckle, so he gave me a generic 20mm one.

I now plan on purchasing a genuine Breitling buckle to replace the generic one, but do not know whether to purchase one with the engraved Breitling "B" or with the newer raised "B." Which one would be correct for my 22/20 band?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

The older style would be your first choice if you feel it's very important to stay within the time period. If not, you'll be right with any style. However, I believe it'll be easier to get the newer style.

If the old one only comes in 18mm, it wont fit the new band. Besides, its probably hard to get one. The new ones come in 20mm, so you shouldnt have any trouble ordering one.

Thanks for the replies. I did order a 20mm engraved buckle. Even though I prefer the look of the raised logo, the engraved one will look just like the 18mm one on my original band.
