Post subject:  Blackeye Blue pictures?

Today my wife and I went to try on some watches, just to pass the time. I've checked out a NOS Headwind, but found it dull -- mostly due to the all-brushed look. They didn't have a polished version on stock anymore, but they had a blackeye gray Chronomat Evo on bracelet. I liked it a lot, it was perfectly my kind of piece -- a lot of polished surfaces, but not the bezel. IMHO it looks better in the flesh than most pictures would suggest.

But my wife said she didn't care much about the Chronomat, since its dial is "nothing special". I love gray dials, so I strongly disagreed, and a little bit of argument sparked. My wife explained she loves the steel blue shade of my Colt II Quartz, and that "a true Breitling has a blue dial", and that she would love to get the little brother of my Colt: a blue dial Colt Oceane. Well, even I don't agree with that, but got me thinking: which Breitlings have a blue dial? Which ones do I fancy most? Then it hit me: the best looking B01 I can recall was a blackeye blue dial I saw once, and it looks equally cool on marketing materials (studio shots) and in the flesh.

Unfortunately my AD doesn't carry any blackeye blue Breitlings, so I'd love to see some real-life shots of blackeye blue Breitlings (Chronomat, Blackbird, Skyracer). Meanwhile, I'm trying to find an AD around that has such pieces on stock...

Thanks,
Fiery

Hi I have a B01 ss on order with the Blackeye Blue dial. I also think it should be a beauty. I have about another 6 weeks to wait. The watch should also be jammin with a black croc band etc. I cant wait to get it. frank

For what it's worth, I also love the "blackeye blue" look. One of Breitling's appealing qualities is the ability to get different straps or bracelets to change the look and feel of your watch. The black/blue combo works great with the widest variety of straps . . . black, blue, bracelet, rubber, leather, on and on.

Peace

Mike
