Great shots. I love way the sub dials contrast against the dial. Thanks for sharing. I must say the car is just over rated in my opinion. While I don't own one myself a good friend does and I don't think its so special. Just my opinion though...

I have a Bentley GMT with the white dial, and it is one of the MOST comfortable watches I own. Mind you, the case is immense, but it still wears like a much smaller piece.

I must say you've got great taste and you shouldn't feel bad about the cost factor. If you love it and find enjoyment in owning it that is all that matters in my opinion! :D

LOL. Thats right!!! Keep the receipt from the wife, I learned that the hard way  I tell her they are the same cost as a Fossil or Kenneth Cole. Most women dont know the difference, unless its 18k gold Bentley.

I did promise to stop posting. But a GT is quite simply the ultimate 7750 based chronograph.

Everything about it is cool:

- On yours, like mine, the dial isn’t black. It’s diamond black – a treat in full sunlight.

- It has a day display. A maroon one no less – how classy is that?! Pass me my shotgun, I’m off to sort some geese on my English manor!

- The perfectly executed contrasting guilloche subdials, the dash of red, the geared bezel, the bracelet, the curves of the case at every angle…nothing else has all of this!

Some women do know the difference by the way– I really have had two liaisons resulting from conversations about my GT. I love it.

I will continue to collect watches, but I honestly don’t think I will ever find anything as awesome in every way as the GT. It’s one of those watches that is often overlooked in the display case next to its larger siblings. Those brutish Motors who only reveal the trademark Breitling glory of contrasting subdials in all gold models!

Out in the real world the GT hammers every aesthetic button one could ever ask for in a high end automatic technical chronograph. Obviously it’s all about personal taste – but I honestly believe, design wise, a black GT is like a major seventh chord played on a vintage Gibson. Complex, but wonderfully harmonious. To use the vernacular often encountered on WIS forums – it has a dial that really “pops”.

The fact that Breitling no longer makes the GT with the contrasting subdials makes ownership of one of these babies even more exclusive.

Congratulations!

Thanks,

I’m a nut for the GT. I have a few fine pieces, but whenever I’m wearing something else, and people comment, I always find myself saying “you reckon that’s cool, you should see the GT, it has…” It has it all! I guess (and indeed hope) we all discover that one watch – the ‘Grail’ – that captures as near to subjective perfection as physical reality allows.

No doubt it’s a different choice for us all. But I’m sure it’s rationally mathematical – not some strange magic geometry with these things – that sets the GT apart in the crowded world of contemporary 7750 based chronographs.
