Hi

My watch is going to BUK for a change of face and a service, does anyone know if the same attention and work goes into the services from the UK as in the breitling video that I have seen online, (changing all seels, hands, a full refinish etc)

Thanks in advance

If it's a full service yes, basic service doesn't include refinishing.

Are you sure Roff? I was under the impression that a basic service (certainly in the UK) included a re-finish, the only difference between the two being a full overhaul of the movement and new hands on the main service.

EDIT: Actually you're right, just checked the service info, basic service is just a clean of the case.

John,

£270 is the overhaul service, same as I recently had done on my Chrono Avenger.

According to the service sheets.........................

MAINTENANCE DESCRIPTION
The Authorized Breitling Service Centers offer two major services:

1. The Maintenance Service
The frequency of this operation mainly depends on how often you use your watch in water. It includes:
Mechanical Watch:
Balance wheel and escapement cleaning and lubrication, checking of the movement and the watch
functions. Cleaning of case and metal bracelet, replacement of all gaskets and control of water resistance.
Quartz Watch:
Battery replacement. Checking of all working parameters of the movement and the watch functions.
Cleaning of case and metal bracelet, replacement of all gaskets and water-resistance control. An
explanatory video is available at: http://www.breitling.com/service-quartz

2. The Overhaul
The frequency of this operation is about 4 to 6 years, but it can be influenced by the way the watch is
used.
Mechanical or Quartz Watch:
Movement overhaul. Complete dismantling of the mechanism, cleaning, replacement of worn-out
components, assembling, lubrication and adjustment of functions and daily rate. Exchange of battery on
quartz watches. Refurbishing of case and metal bracelet, replacement of all gaskets and water-resistance
control. An explanatory video is available at: http://www.breitling.com/service-chrono

Polishing (refurbishing) the case and bracelet restores the watch to its original appearance. It must only
be done by a watchmaker specially trained in an authorized Breitling technical center.
The above-mentioned maintenance procedures must be applied for each intervention, which is why
we strongly urge you to contact an officially authorized Breitling technical center. The complete list of
authorized retailers and technical centers is available on our website http://www.breitling.com

I sent in my Navi and it received a "basic service" as stamped on the warranty card. It didnt include a refinish...in fact, I dont think it included any polishing at all, as the hairlines were still there when I got it back.

Hello,

On the Breitling official website you will find out a complete pdf file depending of your country of residence.
For each country, you will see some information about "The Maintenance Service" and "The Overhaul", sometime it varies from country and services...
(no maintenance service for BUSA for SELFWINDING WATCH, SELFWINDING CHRONOGRAPH, CHRONOGRAPH WITH COMPLICATIONS but only a COMPLETE
OVERHAUL...

For example, for Breitling UK ; http://www.breitling.com/multimedia/pdf/sav/sav-894.pdf
Or for Breitling France: http://www.breitling.com/multimedia/pdf/sav/sav-369.pdf
Or for Breitling Canada: http://www.breitling.com/multimedia/pdf/sav/sav-1200.pdf
and then for Breitling USA: http://www.breitling.com/multimedia/pdf/sav/sav-1219.pdf
