Hello, I'm a private pilot, and for my 40 years old my sister will offer me a breitling. I would like to have the copilot module, and she gives me a choice between 2 models : the aerospace and the airwolf. I have difficulties making a decision after looking at the functionalities of both watches. It appears they both have pros and cons, and for me I like the simplicity of the aerospace but the added functionalities of the airwolf are a plus. I still have to see the watches for real (will be next friday), and I think it will be decisive for my choice. In the meantime, have you any advice to give? thank you ! |

I think the biggest and most obvious difference is the ti of the aerospace as opposed to the significantly heavier ss airwolf. Myself, I prefer a light watch, but i'm fairly sure i'm the minority, with most guys going for something more substantial. As has been said before, when you try them both on you'll know which one to get. Good choice either way! ![]() |

I think the Airwolf is a lot more of a "looker." People will notice it more...it's nice and shiny (Mmm...Mofongo like shiny things). The Aerospace has more of a functional look, even though the Airwolf probably has more functionality. But the Aerospace will be more comfortable, and with the copilot module you still get easy access to chrono functions. For me personally, I would always choose the Airwolf. It has the best looks of the Professional line (IMHO), especially with the new vertical-stripe dial. I am also used to big, heavy watches so I actually like the extra weight. But yeah, that is a tough decision. As long as you get something whose weight suits you, I don't think you can really go wrong, though. My first Professional-line purchase will be the Emergency. Although I like the Airwolf better, I am a private pilot and fly around the mountains in the Seattle area in rented aircraft. I know the ELTs in the rentals are inspected per regulations, but I still like the added protection of my very own ELT. ///M |
