Tom Cruise feels the need...

The need for a Top Gun sequel! When asked by MTV News about Top Gun 2, the actor replied: "We're working on it."

Last year, reports of a sequel to the 1986 flick were abuzz. Director Tony Scott confirmed he would return to direct, but Cruise's involvement remained a mystery.

But Katie Holmes' hubby told MTV News he was on board to work with Scott again. "I said to Tony I want to make another movie with him. He and I haven't made a film since Days of Thunder [in 1990]," he said. "We never thought that we would do it again. Then, they started to come to us with these ideas of where it is now. I thought, 'Wow... what we could do now.'"

Going from Travolta to Cruise would cement a new motto - Instruments For Scientologists. The discontinued Emergency could be resurrected as the "E-meter" - instead of a homing beacon it will indicate whether or not a person has been relieved from the spiritual impediment of past experiences. I just noticed this pic in your post Shawn and I have this question.

I have been led to believe that as Tom Cruise is rather (shall we say ) 'vertically challenged' and that he often has to stand on a box while filming to give the impression that he is taller. So, now referring to your picture - does he have to sit on a box whilst in the F-14 cockpit too? Would we just see the top of his flight helmet if not? .

Who cares what planes they have ...? It's just a MOVIE!!! Tom Cruise is my pick as the next Breitling ambassador as that would be a great marketing strategy imo) for Breitling especially now that he is about to start shooting for Top Gun 2.
