Yes they're quite annoying. Stretches the whole page out and takes forever to scroll through.
Whenever i post images here, i resize them to 1024x768.
It's not intentional though. Many users use Tapatalk to browse the forums, and they take and upload high resolution images from their mobile devices, so they don't see how enormous the images appear when viewed from a browser on a computer.
The forum software they're using, phpBB, doesn't appear to be automatically resizing high res images. I assume there's a setting in the admin control panel to fix that.
