Does anyone else here think the Swatch group will buy Breitling and to help leverage the deal have been withholding movements

It is not only the ability to buy /to acquire a business,but also the will of the vendors to part with it.

the restrictions on ETA sales are in effect for all manufacturers (and have for more than a decade).
the availability issues w/ the Aerospace movements are a different issue altogether.

neither has anything at all to do w/ the fact that sooner or later CVC, like any PE firm, will look at a profitable exist scenario.
