I too have the problem if I wear mine too tight. Am thinking of trying out the Bund strap. The piece of leather under the watch prevents the imprinting of turbine on wrist. Then again one has to like the Bund look.

At any rate, I love my Airwolf too much and this is one teeny weeny problem I can overlook..... :lingsrock:

I think it depends on the tightness. Because its thick as well, if its too loose it has an annoying wobble to the outside of the wrist, too tight it leaves the turbine shape. I have the copilot with mine which reduces its wrist rolling effect, & have it reasonably tight. It doesn't move & can forget I'm wearing it after 5 mins. It depends on the wrist shape & tightness I think.
cheers

Same experience with mine, just to change things up I've just ordered a black leather deployant strap with deployant clasp. I'm assuming it will be as, if not more comfortable because of the ability to make exact adjustments by way of the deployant clasp. I'm wondering for those who use the leather deployant strap is my assumption correct?

:lingsrock:

yes, you can make micro adjustments.

I have the Airwolf Raven, with Pro II strap and depolyment, and don't have an issue with the turbine.

The deployment allows you to make very small adjustments on the strap, which is nice. I also don't wear it very tight, and don't have an issue with it moving around, but I have pretty large wrists!

I'd never consider selling my wolf! Love it!

Turbine markings on the back of your wrists???

Hummm... ever see the movie "The Skulls"???

It could be worse! :nana:

(For those of you that never saw the movie, it's about a secret Ivy League school society, which BRANDS their members with the mark of a "skull", on the back of their left wrist! They then get a Breitling Navi to cover up the mark, and keep their secret!)

I second that! I have a small wrist and wear my watch very tightly since I also fly with it, and haven't had any issues, I feel that the turbine imprint on your wrist once you take it off is part of the experience, the guys I work with think it's pretty awesome.

I sometimes need to scratch my wrist under the case back. I just love the watch too much to get rid of it though.

I always wear my watches with a small amount of slack in the bracelet/strap. Deffinitely not tight

So I'm wearing mine now, (and I wear it a little loose) and it has the co-pilot module.

I can't feel the turbine caseback at all, and it's wearing super comfortably, more so than my CA+UTC. I've tried to adjust the UTC bracelet exactly per the Airwolfs Co-Pilot Bracelet, but I don't think due to the geometry differences I can get them exact. With the UTC, and Co-Pilot there's enough slack for them both to slip to the outer lowerside of my wrist, but not so much that a brisk turn of the wrist isn't enough to reposition the head correctly. (The UTC can be uncomfortable at times like that)

Now keep in mind the Airwolf is heavier than the CA, and I only have hairy ~7.25" wrists, but the Airwolf is more comfortable. Go figure. As everyone else has said, it really comes down to your personal preference on how tight you like your bracelets, and how you've biassed them on adjustment.

I would never dream of selling my Airwolf.....i'd first try to see if I could get accustomed to not having it so tight that it strangles my wrist.

This was the main thing that led to me selling my B-1 Chronometre in 2006. Bad call. I really missed all the excellent functions of the Cal 78, so I now have a Raven on the Diver II, and if that doesn't do the thing (so far it's great) I'll go Bund or NATO.

Hi, Cat. This will give you an idea of what your long gone B-1 looks like on an OEM Breitling black calf strap and an aftermarket Bund pad (KHS "Raptor"). Your Raven would likely look just as nice I think...
Best,
Ron

Yeah, that's cool!

I didn't realize how much I really missed the B-1 til I got the Airwolf; this one is one of the 2009 Reno Air Show limited models, #24/100 and it doesn't have the dial with all the lines and rays on it-just cool, flat, black like my old B-1, only with indices I like better (no numbers) and the air show logo at 9. The rubber bezel is great with the black strap and is tolerating abuse well.

I think that Breitling made the perfect watch with Cal 78. The B-1, Airwolf, or Chronospace, regardless of the guise it is in (to me, they're ALL B-1s) is the only watch that truly is many watches in one. It can be a dual-time-zone watch, showing time 2 and the analog time where you are together at once. It can be a basic two-register chronograph, again keeping analog time while showing the (days), hours, minutes, seconds on its chrono registers just like any Speedmaster, or Navitimer. It can be a pure GMT watch. It can be a Cricket alarm watch. It can be one of those old Seiko analog-digital watches. As seen above, it can be just a regular analog-face watch with nothing else.

And it can be a woman named Freida (Bill the Cat joke for all you old Bloom County fans out there).

I just like it and I'm glad to have one again.
