Perhaps BUK stopped keeping the "square tipped" seconds hand in stock?
Other than that, I see no obvious reason why they would change it.

I too would want some written proof of the work being done.
Having said that, I like the new look, esp. the bezel :lingsrock:

One Q though: the last time my ling was serviced by BUK, I didnt get a travel case?

I can see them changing the second hand, but I'd be upset if they changed the bezel and didn't give me some kind of notification first.

Even though I like the bezel better..the second hand im not sure about. I would be completely pissed off. Its like sending in a purchase order to a company and them selling your company something completely different using your Purchase order number and sending it to you. Not good for business.

They changed the bezel and the second hand on the OP's watch because they are not interfering with it's ref# A17360.
Both hands and bezels are correct for the SO A17360.
They won't change yours because they will not match the watches ref#.

Something is amiss.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but one of those pictures is not of the same watch?
The one from the travel case with the plastic ring on it has a gold 29 on the bezel. the others, a black, and then a polished, "30".

Is that gold 29 just imprinted on the plastic ring?

The gold colored "29" is indeed printed on the bezel protector (the plastic ring).

The more I come to think of it, I would be so upset if I got a watch back with those alterations I'd demand Breitling to either turn it back as it was immediately or give me a very reasonable compensation. If nothing else, I've learned to take plenty of photos of the watch before sending a watch for service. To me, you're completely right - it isn't the same watch any more.

I just saw in the other thread that you send a Steelfish to service.
Strange that they won't replace the second hand if your SF is A17390.

My SF has the ref A17390. BUK have said request the second hand in writting when sending the watch and they will see what they can do, I will keep you all posted and post pictures before and after service.

But I am not sending until the SA comes back with its new white face. (I am told 8th March) I can't be without both of my lings I will hit a massive depression.
