WOW

That's some serious piece of wrist equipment.

I love it, yet something tells me that there'll be those who will choose to hold on to the old design - as it's a little more 'subtle'. Bet you never thought you'd hear that in reference to an Emergency!

You'd think that shrinks its demographic somewhat. Cripes.

And the cost?

I've a feeling that'll be as big a jump as the size.

Thanks for the details. Wow that's a lot.
Wonder if they will do a new Mission version in a year or two?

I'll keep looking for a press owned original Mission then.

 12k?
That would be bad even in dollars, let alone sterling!

Stunning achievement to fit everything into a titanium case you can wear on your wrist, BUT that price is eye watering!

A PLB and an Emergency I is significantly more cost effective, although perhaps not quite so cool!

Love the yellow, and yes 51mm is big, but then this watch is all about making a statement. I would :)

Well kudos to Breitling on the design - evolution over revolution and personally I like it for what it is (quartz pieces simply aren't for me). The dual frequency transmitter offers the best of both worlds and that's also a good thing.

51mm is likely driven by technical need, but it does make it too big for much of the target market - even in titanium that is a serious hunk of metal. As for a GBP12,000 price tag, which will equate to around US$18,000, well, that's more than a little ludicrous isn't it!

Beautiful watch, and congrats to Breitling on sticking with the original styling. Good 4 min video on it's operation as well on YouTube now.

But as the others have said... The size and the ridiculous pricing will have gotten rid of a huge percentage of their target market. At around 6k I could see lots of people upgrading, but at $18k? Buy a Navi 01 AND a cosmonaute or even a Navi01, Transocean and a SO2 for that price!

Plus how many can really wear 51mm?!?!?

But if you do want to sell your E1... Let me know ;)
