I’ve came across one of these online, it’s at a pre owned price but never been worn.
It was a display model that never got sold.
It’s going for just over £4000.
Can I get peoples opinion on it as I don’t know much about it?
Is there any significance to the carbon dial compared to the original ones?
The model reference is AB011012/BF76/296S

Thanks

That's a pretty decent price for it in the UK.

It's identical to the standard Chronomat B01, with the exception of the dial. Obviously it's made of carbon fibre and it also has square sub-dials as opposed to round, but apart from that it's a standard Chronomat 01.

Personally I find it a bit too busy - that era Chronomat suffered slightly (IMO) from a riot of different fonts on the dial and bezel, and then when you throw in CF and squares on an otherwise round watch it all gets a bit too busy for me. But if you like it, then I say go for it, as it's a good price for a very good watch.

I decided against it, wasn’t sold on the carbon and I don’t like the square in the middle of the dial on others.
Managed to pick up a brand new Super Avenger II for £3000 instead.
