Hi all,
I found this Breitling 9121 for sale and I think it’s a great find. I’m thinking about buying it as a gift for my father but would love a second opinion.
https://imgur.com/gallery/e9F2LoCThe dial looks great but has 2 small patina spots. I don’t think it’s a major problem (hopefully).
There is a sizable ding in the top right lug. I’m confused why it looks gold/bronze underneath the dent. The watch looks crisp and unpolished which is good news.
Im confused about the crown and pushers. They look bronze/gold in the faded areas. Any reason why this is the case? Shouldn’t worn down areas be silver or blackish?
It’s quite tough to find information regarding this watch to determine its originality. At first I thought it was a fake because it lacked the cursive Breitling I typically see. But after looking and finding the model, I realized it’s genuine and has a nice glossy dial! Was this watch produced in a limited run? Seems quite rare. The seller wants about $2500 for the watch. No idea if I’m allowed to ask about value here.
Any thoughts or links would be appreciated!
Thank you!
