Not much to go on as its from a fine art auction so this is the only pic, but if it goes for around the estimate then its a good deal. The second hand doesn't have its arrow, and actually looks a bit crooked, does anyone else see any big red flags? The serial number would put it at 1971.
Thanks for your help as always.

The chrono sweep hand is not correct and there is that disappointing damage to the left subdial. The chrono sweep hand can be purchased though. Its also very dirty so it will no doubt need to be serviced.

True @Buddman, but the case looks sharp, and the slide rule bezel and dial are in nice shape, and the pushers and crown look good too.

Dial has damage/staining at the subdial by the looks of it. Case looks good though.

Thanks all, looks like the stain is my biggest concern, I'll have to decide whether its worth paying more for a piece in better condition.

Also bear in mind that auction estimates are often set low to lure bidders in - almost every auction these days is visible to thousands on-line and a watch will usually sell for what it's worth, irrespective of an estimate.
