wasn't sure where to post this, actually "off topic", but important enough.

photobucket have disabled "3rd party hosting" and now charge $400 per month or $400 per year to share&embed pictures on "3rd party sites" - which is any website, forum or blog besides photobucket.com

I've been using:
imgur.com - great resizing, but it doesn't work too well on IOS devices

other options seem to be:

https://imgbb.com
https://postimage.io/

and probably dozens of others, let me have your opinions, experience & thoughts ?

Photobucket was starting to get horrendous anyway with all the pop ups, ads and general nonsense slowing down even the simplest upload.

Managed to use google photo today, although that was a faff as it doesn't support linking either

I've been considering alternatives for a while now so would also be interested to know what other folk are using

Despite what the site t & cs say, just pasted this old pic from photo bucket but the site is becoming unusable due to all the c**p. Wonder if the $400 demand is just another 'try on' along with all the other trash. Maybe it's not world wide, we'll have to see.

hate this ! but BS is the only board I care enough about to change some of my posts (and BS lets me edit the posts even after years !)

so if you see old posts re-appear , I am editing them to let the pics show

I use OneDrive, which has a 1TB limit as long as I maintain an Office365 subscription, which I do because I use Microsoft Office regularly. I find the embedding feature pretty good.

Photobucket has been turning into utter garbage for a while now with all the constant ad pop-ups, but this is the final straw. I've just downloaded all my pictures from PB and deleted my account. Good riddance tbh. Now I just need to find another free hosting site that will support uploads to fora.....

I just ditched Photobucket too. I'm using tinypic now. It's free and it's the same thing as Photobucket. Try it out. It's working smooth for me.

Photobucket was always great for me.. but then again i run a-b solution directly from home router and it nukes ads (except from those websites I whitelist).

Google photos works good. Integrates nicely with the app. Just don't let them back up all your pictures to the cloud. Just the ones to share.

Otherwise you can host the pictures yourself by creating secure links to your nas.

I assume at some point forums will need to purge these broken photobucket links. I've personally deleted all my pics from there and closed the account.

I just signed up for, and have now successfully used, postimage.org. Seems like a good alternative to photobucket.

I signed up at Imgur but the downside is that I don't think you can post from their app.

What, other than the suggestions of Imgur, imgbb, postimage, Google photos, OneDrive, Flickr, tinypic and servimg already made in this thread?

Perhaps poorly worded, was wondering what members experiences were with the different services, i.e., ease of use, posting abilities, fees involved etc, etc!
