Hi
Does anyone know if an 18-16 7-segment Navitimer bracelet is/was made?
If not then the links I have are fake ..

I don't think there was a 18/16 Navi bracelet but I may be wrong.
Which links do you have? End links? If so what is the reference numbers are stamped on them?
Or is it the spare bracelet extension links?
Give us a bit more to go on with and we might be able to give a better reply.
Pictures could help too.

Ta da//

Hi
It's the extension link. It looks genuine but I can't find any mention online of an 18-16 Navitimer bracelet

How do you know it's from an 18-16 if you only have an extension link? Presumably that is simply a 16mm wide Navitimer link and early Breitling 20mm bracelets had a 20-16mm taper.

Ah. I assumed too much. I thought all the 7 segment ones tapered to 18mm. Does anyone know the codes of 7 segment bands that tapered to 16mm?

I've been told this is from an "earlier Montbrillant"
Does anyone know if Montbrillants ever had a seven segment bracelet that was 16mm at the clasp?

I believe the 420 / 421 / 422 were all 20-16. They're weird ones where even Breitling contradicted itself around which fitted which but they were used on Premier, Grand Premier and Montbrillant No Date.

The 422 on my Premier is a 20/16 Navitimer, 7 segment bracelet.
I believe it also went on Navitimer 92.
These were not used on Grand Premier which had 22 mm interhorn width.

You are a star, thanks. Weird how the 422A is listed as a 20-18. Breilting have a cavalier attitude to specifications!

An update for you after some painful research:
The 420A & 420D bracelets are outliers - seven-segment-per-link 20mm-17mm, with the extension links held in with a single screw per link. The etching of the bracelet code is different from other Breitling bracelets and the date code uses roman numerals for the week instead of the usual 1 - 52. It would appear a different factory was given the (short-lived) contract.
This 20-17 bracelet was fitted to the airborn and to the Premier A40035.
The later A42035 Premier used the 20-16 bracelet with two screws per link.
