Also noticed the dial has "Swiss Made" on it at 6 O" Clock, any idea why some have it written on the dial and some don't?

most (all?) correct ones I have seen have 'swiss made' below the 6
some a bit obscured by the plexi but they all seem to have it

yes, shouldn't the "swiss made" be visible or present or did it depend on the dial maker?

Wow, that's a beauty, congrats. Btw can I see a picture showing the "SWiss Made" sign? Is it in black or light lettering? Might have to tilt the camera though:)

Didn't mean to doubt you Fred, just wanted to see the shade of the lettering to gauge visibility. I guess it should have been visible on the other one too since the shots on the ebay one are taken at quite many angles?

This gets very confusing when the same questions get asked by PM and publicly and leads to a lot of duplicated effort.

I have seen many pictures of pieces that appeared not to ave Swiss Made that I deem to be correct based on other factors. Whether they actually had Swiss Made on them and it just couldn't be seen on the picture I don't know.

And before the next PM question gets asked publicly.....

I am also OK with either the 1 or the 31 being above the 12 on the dial!
