I've done a search and read that it's 1.8mm. The one I have, the blade of the screwdriver is too thick to fit in the slot and turn the screw.

Is it really 1.8mm?

Yes it is 1.8mm if you use a proper watch watchmaking screwdriver such as a Bergeon. Chances are that if it's just a small screwdriver (or a cheap watchmaking screwdriver) as opposed to a proper watchmaking screwdriver by a decent make, then the blade may well be less fine and hence not fit.

What make is it you are using?

It's a cheap one. I'd buy a Bergeon 1.8mm in a second, but I can't find one.

Any alternatives out there?

I just bought the 1.6mm from chronoworld.com, they sell them individually $11.00 each plus $6 shipping, they also sell the 6767F springbar tool for $17. Didn't realize they ship from Japan until I got the confirmation email though......

Man, see if you can cancel the order. You're best bet is Otto Frei, and I believe they ship from Canada and their are cheaper. The 160 is $8 there.

They are in California, not Canada.

Well my wife is in Tokyo for a week and I ordered the screwdriver while I balanced my 6 month old on my knee and played cars with my 2 year old with the other hand so 3 bucks is the least of my worries today

No worries, actually shipping was not bad, they said 5-8 days, I guess we'll see when it shows up. I will check out the website you suggested as well for interest.

On a side note I noticed you're from Grand Rapids, my brother used to play hockey there for the Griffins a couple of years ago.
