I bought this a while back from a guy who said he was the original owner (purchased in 80's I believe). Anyway, I recently listed this one for sale, but had a question on its authenticity. The buyer was concerned since he's never seen a PVD version of the navitimer/pluton. He thought maybe it was a Breitling movement, dial, caseback, but in a Chronosport UDT case. I really don't know. I withdrew the watch listing because I wasn't 100% sure. Here are the pics. The ref # is 80191. I can't find another one like it. It's either extremely rare or a Franken. Thanks for any help.

It's real, and to be honest, not that rare.

thanks for the input. the last thing I wanted to do was sell it if it wasn't 100% authentic.

Can't say I've ever seen a straight Breitling Pluton with a PVD case. Plenty of Pluton special editions for squadrons etc and lots of '80s PVD Colts with Breitling dials but not a PVD 3100 Pluton.

As you noted, I would agree it is either rare or re-cased.
