I am looking around for my first breitling. I like the chronographs, also not something too big or heavy. Check this aution out. Can you guys tell me anything about it, value, year, model? Thanks

If it seems too good to be true ('fraction of cost') it probably is!

You should just ask the seller questions about it, model number from the back, service history, whatever he says will probably either make you feel one way or the other about the seller, and that is what you should really be looking at.

Post moved.. I'd like to keep ebay posts in the replica identification forum.

On that note, it appears to be a older Chronomat from the early 2000's, but who knows... the guy's description sounds shady. Didn't think they made those ones that real looking.

Based on one crappy photo, I wouldn't like to bid $1000+ but it does look genuine to me - a 2003/04 39mm Chronomat (pre EVO).

Agree with jimmy to ask for history and more pics then "buy the seller, not the watch."

In the UK, this would sell for around £1000. Don't know the going rates in the US but don't pay over the odds. There will be plenty more coming along!

When I look at the dial, its a lot older than just pre evo. That type of arabic numbers was used around 1994-1996, and I would be really surprised, if that model was a real chronometer.
