I don't think new members should be permitted to sell. There should be a grace period.

That has been proposed. Like Roff always says "Buy the seller first." :?

New Rule about to be added.. only ONE ACCOUNT PER USER! Additional accounts (unless you created them because you lost a password or something) will be deleted and may cause you to be banned. There's no reason for multiple accounts unless you are hiding something or trying to pull some sneaky stuff. I'll add this to the courtesies thread.

Some people have asked me for more information, so thought I would post an update.

Unfortunately I don't have much to add - I haven't received details of any other members that I can contact for references, and the only other contact I did receive was to advise of a reply to a WTB ad that didn't meet the prospective purchaser's needs.

Sorry guys, I can't clarify this further at this time.

Mr. Erezlugasi claims that his brother logged on to sell some stuff from work, and they have the same IP...

should maybe be a 100 post min to list stuff.. would clean up a lot of the clutter.. cause it would even be hard to trust someone with 100 posts without great references.. i think we would be hard pressed to find anyone who sold a watch with just a few posts

Kind of steep! In that case only 89 of the 2492 members would be allowed to sell.

i am a member of a Nikon camera forum, and we had issues on there in the for sale forum. The forum is currently closed, but what i found funny with this post and suggestion was all the folks there who had over 1000 posts recommended that only members with over 1000 posts should be allowed to buy & sell on the forum, less than 1000 and you were not to be trusted...... now i am not suggesting for a minute Siglo picked 100 posts as a minimum just because he is at 154.....

i honestly don't care what the max is, i'm just saying you would be hard pressed to find anyone who is willing to send 5-10k to someone with a few posts, even 100 or 500 without references. i don't think this is unreasonable as there tends to be a lot of clutter/potential scams. really has more to do with filtering and nothing to do with "trust".

I'm not going to instill a post requirement to post in the buy/sell, as we haven't had too many problems yet. Anyone who sends $2000 to a guy with one post and no references can't be thinking straight. However, there are going to be many people that are newly signed up here that are well-respected on other forums, and have done tons of transactions and have tons of references.

Bottom line is CHECK THE GUY OUT before you buy from him.

i do not totaly agree... i'm quite new here and try to sell my breitling superocean but havent got any references because i dont sell often...
So because of that its harder for me to sell and be trusted? Thats not fair i think...
How do you get references if you cant sell BECAUSE you dont have references?

My opinion is that when you buy something, let people send photo's with there face on it with the Breitling or adress... I'm the kind of person that will travel to that person if they don't send it...

Sorry for my bad english but i'm just a dutchman

while new here, I'm a reg on most of the forums and I was asked to post my experiences with Erez Lugas here. To make it short, I had an omega bracelet for sale in the US. He asked that I send it registered to Israel which I did. It got held up in customs for a few weeks and he filed with PP, so I had no choice but to give him a refund. We could have talked it over and after a resonable time I would have given him a refund anyway. International shipping can be unpredictable and requires patience. He doesn't understand that customs issues are not the sellers responsibilty,,,they can't be as no one has control over that but the county's customs office. At this point I still can't get my bracelet back to the US, good thing it was only 200 and not a 2000 watch.

I am currently working on a deal with Erezlugasi to PURCHASE my watch. I am stating here the funds will have to clear my account before I ship the watch.

I will let you all know how the transaction goes.

Mike
