Just had a very interesting discussion with the Longines sales manager for Europe, Mr Urs Winder. He told me, that they have enormous problems at the moment with watches, which have been sold on the net, woren for a week, sent back and resold again...
I have not yet heard anything like that, but I ask for Your feedback. Has anyone ever bought a new watch on the net, where he had the feeling, it was already woren?

No personal experience, but my AD told me something similar. He believes that some of the online watches are returns due to problems - i.e. a customer has been given a replacement.

Obviously these can't be anything overly serious or the AD would just return to Breitling so these must be minor issues that the AD can try and address.

No personal experience like that.. but I could see it happening. Though at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if some AD's did that if they thought that the watch looked new enough.

I allways return exchange watches to my agents for refreshment (Unless I can really see, that they have not been worn).

I have always gotten a fresh one from online dealers... Thomas, a question for you.. do you ever try and convince the buyer to take a display model, when there is some definate wear to it? Or do you send the display out for a polish first? Or do you give them a discount on display models?

If You can find a flaw on a model, I either offer additional 5% discount or to send it to my supplier for refreshment.
But that happens only about 2-3 times a year.
