I bought a Rolex GMT Master II a couple of weeks ago and loved it for exactely two days. my Evo has been getting all the wrist time lately!! There is nothing wrong with the Rolex, in fact there is a lot right with it, I just find it extremely boring, probably just a phase.

Also I have fallen in love with two other watches, the Bentley 6.75 and the Omega Moonwatch. With the impeeding purchase of a Navitimer World (waiting on AD response) I can only afford the Moonwatch OR sell the Rolex and get a 6.75 instead. However im afraid I might not like the 6.75 and be stuck (Breitlings are impossible to sell without losing 50% of what you paid)

Decisions decisions, Rolex + Speedmaster OR Benley 6.75 :huh

I think it's just a phase for you.

For me, Rolex was my dream watch. As I got older, the more I wanted one. I don't think I could ever part with my Submariner. It is the most comfortable watch to wear I own, and in my opinion is one of the best looking pieces on the market that has been mass produced over the years (Even though it's highly copied).

As far as the the Rolex + Speedmaster issue, two is better than one! I think the Bentley is a fine piece, but I think it is a bit overpriced. More than likely due to the affiliation with Bentley.

I've owned Rolexes, and I find them boring. They are a finely made watch, but the styling is not for me. I say get the Bentley. :lingsrock:

Hmmm tricky! Personally I'd say sell the Rolie, forget the Omie and buy the Bentley.

I've moaned on about the flimsie feel of Rolex bracelets on here before - and until the new bracelet for the Submariner comes out (if ever!) I'll probably continue to do so! My Rolex is very comfortable and classic looking, and I won't sell mine basically because it looks a little different in its 50th Anniversary guise. BUT, in today's world it looks a little staid and behind the times.... and not to mention a wee bit small.

I've owned Omegas too (not a Speedie though, but I have tried them on), and while Omega's are fine watches, I've always felt Breitling just has the edge in terms of feel and design (a personal thing obviously). And remember, the standard Speedmaster/Moon watch is very small by today's standards.

Hi Altair,

keep the Rolex and save money to buy the 6.75 later. The Moonwatch is a classic, that You can get anytime (excepat some limited editions), and that will stay on the market for the next 20 years at least.

The Bently is actual now. The Rolex GMT Master II is a classic, why loose money by selling it now?

Thanks for your input guys, tough choice but I will have to sleep on this one for a while, keeping the Rollie for now.

The more the merrier, I'd say. I'd keep the Rolex and buy a second watch for the rest of the money, or hold till I've a pile that's enough for another wanted watch.

Me? I'd bin the Rollie. I've never been able to see the attraction in them, (other than the old 'vintage' ones). Over hyped to me, and a seriously poor bracelet on an overpriced watch............ with apologies to any Rolex fans here

I wouldn't buy a new Omega either. Not when they're trying to beat up on the little guy anyway. Lots of info in the following link.........

p.s. Hope it's in order to post links to other forums. If not then would the moderators please remove accordingly. Thanks.
