My wife is going to be receiving her grandfather's vintage Omega soon and I was wondering if anyone knew a reputable place to send it to be serviced. I'm guessing it's 60s-70s vintage but I don't have it yet so I haven't been able to look up the model. It's just a basic automatic with a date complication I believe. It runs and is keeping pretty decent time according to her mother, so I'm hoping it just needs a basic service and regulation. It's probably not worth much monetarily but it means a lot to the wife so I want to make sure it goes to someone good because she wants to be able to occasionally wear it. I asked at the Omega boutique when I was in San Antonio but they said Omega won't service anything that old. What would be reasonable for a service assuming it didn't need any repair?

On a side note, I'm going to be working in Houston, Texas all next month so a place there locally would be even better.

Check out watchuwant, they're an authorized Omega service center.

Thanks for the info. Took a look at their site and they need reference number and serial number for a quote. I think this is a 550 caliber but I have no idea on the ref number or serial. Is the serial hand engraved on vintage Omegas? I found something that looks like DL4140 between the lugs. There are no other markings other than 14k Gold and the personalized engraving on the back.
